Reenacting the Elizabethan Court

In conjunction with the University of Missouri's Library Society, members of CEC portrayed Queen Elizabeth I and her court. CEC enlivened their annual dinner celebrating books, libraries and the generosity of private benefactors. In total, nine CEC players portrayed Queen Elizabeth I; Mary, Queen of Scots; Sir Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester; Sir William Cecil, Lord Burghley; Bess of Hardwick; Sir Francis Walsingham; Sir William Shakespeare; Katherine Ashley; Lady in Waiting.
